Dr. Kimberly Mason, Ph.D., LPC-S, NCC is a licensed professional counselor, LPC Board Approved Supervisor, counselor educator, prevention specialist, and consultant. She holds a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision and M.Ed. in Community Agency Counseling from the University of New Orleans (CACREP-Accredited).

Dr. Mason is a core faculty member in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Walden University, and specializes in the areas of bullying, cyberbullying, trauma, suicide, adolescents’ use of social media, Internet safety, self-harm, restorative justice practices, and addiction.
She is the author of “Bullying No More: Understanding and Preventing Bullying” published by Barron’s Educational Series, Inc.
Through her work as a clinical mental health, addiction, and school counselor since 1998, Dr. Mason has extensive experience working with diverse populations ranging from young children through the elderly on a multitude of mental health, addiction, spiritual, and interpersonal issues.
She is a published scholar and frequent presenter at international, national, and local professional conferences in her areas of expertise across the United States, and serves as a consultant for several school districts, law enforcement and governmental agencies, and community mental health centers.
She is a Licensed Professional Counselor, LPC Board Approved Supervisor, Nationally Certified Counselor, TeleMental Health Training Certified, certified in iSafe and NetSmartz Internet Safety, School Conflict Management, Conflict Mediation, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Intervention for Trauma in Schools, and Red Cross Disaster Mental Health Trained. Dr. Mason is Level 1 trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing certification (EMDR) and is in the processing of completing her supervision hours to gain EMDR certification.
